Hi, we’re Alexandra and Ben.
We’re the parents behind Flyaway Fairy. And like you, we know this hair.
Our daughter has that fine, beautiful baby hair that stands straight up the moment you tie a ponytail. Every school morning, the same battle: water that dries in ten minutes, clips that slide out by lunch, adult products full of things we didn’t want anywhere near a child’s head.
Alexandra is a personal stylist and fashion designer. Presentation is her profession, and she couldn’t fix her own daughter’s flyaways with anything on the shelf. Ben is a fintech entrepreneur, and he kept asking the same question: if every parent we know has this problem, why does no product exist for it?
We looked, for years. Everything was either made for adults, full of alcohol and heavy silicones, or a “kids” product that was just marketing on top of the same formula. Nothing was made for the little hairs, for small heads, for a school day.
So we stopped looking and started making it ourselves. One wand, one job: tame the flyaways, gently, and brush out by bedtime. Plant-based hold, no alcohol, no harsh chemicals. The product we kept hoping to find on the shelf.
Flyaway Fairy is our first product and our only product, because we would rather do one thing properly than fill a shelf. It’s made by a family, for families, and tested every single morning at our own bathroom mirror.
